It appears there will be surprises this weekend at the WWE Royal Rumble despite it taking place in Saudi Arabia.
In recent months, it has been highly debated that it would be impossible for WWE to hide surprises for the Royal Rumble since the event will take place in Saudi Arabia. However, it appears the company is willing to take on that challenge.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), while WWE’s charter flight for Saudi Arabia will leave hours following tonight’s episode of RAW, that’s not the only one.
Sapp reports that WWE has plans to fly out more talent later in the week, including planned surprises. The company is telling him they believe it will actually be easier to keep the surprises a secret in Saudi Arabia than in years past.
It will be very interesting to see what the company has up its sleeve for the Royal Rumble later this weekend.
