Drew McIntyre is channeling his inner Hulkamaniac ahead of his clash against Sami Zayn at WWE Royal Rumble.
Sami Zayn defeated Randy Orton, Trick Williams, and Damian Priest in a fatal four-way match at Saturday Night’s Main Event this past weekend to become the No.1 contender for Drew McIntyre’s Undisputed WWE Championship. The two superstars will square off for the title at WWE Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this Saturday.
Before their showdown, Sami Zayn took to X/Twitter to post a picture of himself celebrating his win at Saturday Night’s Main Event with the caption, “We’re almost there.”
Drew McIntyre, who’s at the top of his game when it comes to social media banter, reposted Zayn’s tweet with Hulk Hogan’s nWo original theme (TNA remix) with a simple message, “See you Saturday.”
With his response, Drew McIntyre is essentially saying Sami Zayn has no chance of winning at WWE Royal Rumble and that he is in his “Hollywood Era.”
Zayn has been on a quest to win a world championship in WWE, and he does have an advantage this Saturday as he’s undefeated in Saudi Arabia. However, it will be interesting to see if he can extend his streak and become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
Drew McIntyre reveals which WWE star hits him the hardest
During a recent interview with TMZ Inside The Ring, Drew McIntyre looked back on his rivalry with Sheamus in WWE. The Undisputed WWE Champion admitted that he’s never been hit harder and has never hit anyone as hard as he does when he’s in the ring with the Celtic Warrior.
“I’ve never hit anybody or been hit as hard by anybody in my entire life as Sheamus,” Drew McIntyre admitted. “And I hate each other in pro wrestling matches, we commit crimes, crimes on each other.
“He’s one of the few people I talk to on the phone. It’s like a freaking he’s an old person, actually, I say that all the time, said my elderly Big Brother, Sheamus,” Drew McIntyre joked. “Because I talked to my wife on the phone, I talked to my dad on the phone.
