WATCH: Saudi Arabia Built The WWE Royal Rumble Venue Insanely Fast

Saudi Arabia impressed a lot of people by building the WWE Royal Rumble venue extremely fast.

WWE will kick off the road to WrestleMania 42 this Saturday with the 2026 Royal Rumble from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Most of the superstars have landed in the country, and the company’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, has teased several surprises for the event.

WWE and Saudi Arabian officials went all in for the first-ever traditional Royal Rumble to take place in the country, building an entire venue from scratch exclusively for the event. They built a temporary outdoor stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh in 35 days, which Michael Cole called on this week’s episode of RAW as the “Riyadh Season Stadium.”

A time-lapse video of the construction has surfaced on X/Twitter, showcasing how incredibly fast the entire venue came into being. Many fans were amazed at how the venue transformed from an empty ground into a fully lit stadium with seating and other features.

WWE has announced four matches for the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble so far, including the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches.

17 male superstars have officially declared themselves for the men’s Royal Rumble match, with Brock Lesnar being the latest to announce his entry. The same number of female superstars have announced their entries into the women’s contest.

Gunther is looking to retire another legend as AJ Styles will put his career on the line against The Ring General at the event. Drew McIntyre will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Sami Zayn.

After the chaotic end to the World Heavyweight Championship match on this week’s episode of WWE RAW, it will be interesting to see whether Finn Balor, who was denied a Royal Rumble match entry, will get a shot at CM Punk’s title at the event.
