R-Truth has a song with Metro Boomin, and the WWE star hopes they can perform it on a big stage.
Ron “The Truth” Killings is a sports entertainer in every sense of the word. He is a former two-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. Truth is also an established name in WWE, where he has held both singles and tag team titles.
During a recent appearance on The Nikki & Brie Show, R-Truth revealed that he has recorded a song with acclaimed producer Metro Boomin and that he would love to perform it at WWE WrestleMania.
“I know y’all know who Metro Boomin is, right? Future’s producer?” Truth asked the hosts, prompting an affirmative response from Nikki Bella before revealing he had worked with the popular record producer.
“He and I got a song. We done it already. Yes, and that will be one dope to put out to do WrestleMania and we talked about it a little bit. Performing at WrestleMania would be like, almost like I hit the jackpot,” R-Truth said.
Metro Boomin’s “Take Me Thru Dere” recently topped the Rhythmic Airplay chart after spending two weeks at number two. The rap mogul was also featured in the cold open for WWE Bad Blood last year alongside Cody Rhodes and Triple H.
R-Truth reveals the best advice John Cena gave him
Elsewhere in the same interview, Truth revealed the best piece of advice he received from WWE icon John Cena.
R-Truth recalled a moment when Cena told him to focus on one thing at a time instead of trying to do too much. He noted that the advice resonated with him and helped put things into perspective.
“One that kind of really resonated with me that Cena told me. It’s like maybe three years ago, but it took me to be a grown man to like… he said, “Truth, one heel at a time,” and it resonated with me. Like damn. I try to do so much. Whether it’s please or whether it’s accomplish, I try to do so much. Focus on one thing, get that done, and move on to the next, so one heel at a time,” R-Truth said.
