WWE SmackDown star R-Truth recently shared his thoughts on WWE: Unreal. He said the series exposing backstage moments does not bother him.
R-Truth is featured throughout Season 2 of WWE: Unreal on Netflix. The series follows his emotional WWE release, contract situation, and surprise return. While some fans believe the show reveals too much, Truth sees things differently.
Speaking with Gello, R-Truth was asked if WWE: Unreal exposes too much behind the scenes. He compared it to seeing how a movie gets made.
R-Truth says WWE Unreal doesn’t ruin the magic
“Not knowing the rabbit’s in the hat, right? You’re letting you know the rabbit’s in the hat, right? Just like when you see how a movie is made, and you see them cut, shoot, you see all that.”
“And you still go watch, whether it’s Transformers or a Jackie Chan movie or Chris. I think it’s just the fact that now you told me. You shouldn’t have told me. You have already known. You’ve already, like, suspected. You’ve already So, we’re going to give you that. And, to me, I always go against the grain sometimes.”
Truth said fans already understand wrestling behind the scenes. He believes the real challenge is still entertaining the audience. “But it doesn’t bother me. But the real thing doesn’t bother me. It doesn’t bother me knowing the rabbit’s in the hat. Now, you have to go out there and still execute. You have to still go out there and grab those people. Grab that audience. You still got to go out there and do the damn thing.”
He was also asked if there was anything from his episode he hoped Netflix would remove. Truth made it clear he had no regrets. “Ain’t no shame in my game. WWE: Unreal returns with its third season on July 21 on Netflix.
