The Saudi Arabian fans weren’t very fond of Jey Uso’s WWE Royal Rumble prediction.
During the Royal Rumble kickoff show earlier today, reigning World Tag Team Champion Jey Uso joined Michael Cole on the stage to hype up the crowd for tomorrow’s PLE. He entered through the crowd to loud cheers, and the entire Saudi Arabian fan base present at the venue yeeted with him and sang along to his theme song.
However, they had a very different reaction when the former World Heavyweight Champion made his prediction for tomorrow’s men’s Royal Rumble match. Being the winner of last year’s contest, Jey Uso wanted to run it back and win the 2026 Rumble as well. However, the moment he uttered those words, the crowd let out resounding boos. The reaction lasted a few seconds until Jey Uso led the crowd in reciting his catchphrase before proceeding to yeet with them.
Jey Uso won the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble and went on to defeat Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41. Uso’s victory garnered mixed reactions from the fans last year, and judging by the crowd reaction in Saudi Arabia today, it’s clear that Uso is not the favorite heading into the match tomorrow.
Jey’s twin brother, Jimmy Uso, has been absent from WWE television for the past two weeks. He gave a shout-out to Jimmy and his wife, Naomi, while addressing the crowd, and confirmed they’re both at home.
