Former WWE star Ava’s exit from the company caught many fans off guard, especially with her still playing a key on-screen role on NXT.
Last week, Ava confirmed that she chose not to re-sign with WWE and had already made her final appearance on NXT television. The announcement immediately sparked speculation, given how prominently she had been featured as the NXT General Manager.
While Ava has not publicly explained her decision, a new report sheds light on WWE’s position. According to BodySlam, the company made a clear effort to keep her around. The report stated, “Sources indicated to Bodyslam that WWE offered Ava an increase in money to stay with the company, but she turned it down and decided that it was ultimately time to leave. Some within WWE believe that she will end up working with her parents in some capacity.”
Dave Meltzer also addressed the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio and said there was no major or forced reason behind Ava’s departure from WWE. He noted that she simply didn’t want to continue and had other options outside the company. Meltzer also mentioned that the release of her girlfriend, Tatyanna Dumas, may have played a role, though it was not confirmed.
As of now, WWE has not announced any plans to replace Ava as the NXT General Manager, leaving a noticeable vacancy on the brand. However, Ava continued to make headlines even after her departure.
Ava issues bombshell message after WWE Exit
On February 1, 2026, she broke her silence on X, formerly known as Twitter, reacting to the ongoing issues involving ICU in the U.S. Ava posted a strongly worded message aimed at ICE and the current administration.
She wrote in a deleted later, “And now that i can say this with my full chest, (middle finger emoji) ice and that entire administration.” The post quickly drew attention due to its timing and her recent WWE exit. However, within hours of the message spreading online, Ava’s X account was disabled.
