Liv Morgan Breaks Silence on Controversial WWE Royal Rumble Moment

Liv Morgan has finally addressed the shocking moment that left fans stunned her eliminating Raquel Rodriguez from the WWE Royal Rumble 2026.

Morgan entered the Women’s Royal Rumble match at number 14 and went the distance, winning the bout on her ninth attempt by last eliminating runner-up Tiffany Stratton. The victory officially punched Morgan’s ticket to WrestleMania 42, marking the biggest moment of her career.

However, one moment during the match overshadowed even the win itself. Midway through the chaos, Morgan shockingly eliminated her The Judgment Day tag team partner, Raquel Rodriguez a move that shocked her fans and questions about tension within the faction.

Speaking on WWE Now, Liv Morgan was asked directly about the controversial elimination. Morgan said, “Well, you know, I know Raquel better than anyone else. And if I know Raquel like how I know Raquel, I know that Raquel is not selfish. Raquel is already the number one contender for the Women’s World Championship. Now there are two members of The Judgment Day with opportunity.”

Morgan continued, confidently dismissing the idea of any hard feelings. “Raquel is going to become Women’s World Champion, and I’m going to cash in my shot at WrestleMania. She’s not going to be mad at me. Are you kidding me?”

She continued, “Now there are two of us with this amazing opportunity. She’s not selfish maybe a little taken aback by how it went down but my sister is not selfish nonetheless. All is okay.” When told that Rodriguez looked furious after the elimination, Morgan brushed it off, “She was in that match for like 40 minutes. How long was she in there? She’s tired. She worked hard.”

While Morgan now looks ahead to WrestleMania 42, Rodriguez’s path is far from settled. On WWE RAW, Rodriguez is set to challenge Stéphanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship.
