The latest episode of WWE RAW featured the World Tag Team Championship match between The Usos and The Alpha Academy, where Jimmy Uso appeared to suffer an injury.
The February 9 episode of RAW from Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, had big matches and title implications. World Tag Team Champions Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso defended their titles against Alpha Academy’s Otis and Akira Tozawa.
Although the matchup might look a bit unusual at first, Otis and Tozawa earned their shot by standing out in a wild four-way tag match.
What Happened to Jimmy Uso After His RAW Tag Team Match?
The match was quick and hard-hitting. Otis used his strength to dominate at times, while Tozawa brought speed and high-flying moves. The Usos relied on teamwork and experience, along with several superkicks.
In the end, Jey and Jimmy Uso finished the match with 1D and proved once again why they are one of WWE’s top tag teams.
That said, the win didn’t come without concern. Somewhere around the latter half of the match, Jimmy Uso appeared to suffer a mouth injury, as blood became more visible as the match went on.
It may have happened after a double clothesline from Otis or during one of Tozawa’s suicide dives to the outside. It could have also happened after taking a slam from Otis. The exact moment wasn’t clear, though.
Luckily, Jimmy was able to finish the match without much trouble, which suggests the injury isn’t too serious. After the match, he grabbed a microphone and turned the focus to Jey Uso, encouraging his brother to qualify for the Elimination Chamber and win it.
Jimmy made it clear he believes in “Main Event Jey Uso” and wants to see him back in the spotlight. The promo highlighted The Usos not just as Tag Team Champions, but as brothers pushing each other forward.
