Rikishi Makes Bold Prediction for Jacob Fatu’s WWE WrestleMania 42 Match

WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi believes Jacob Fatu is destined for a world title moment at WrestleMania 42 — and he’s predicting a championship switch in the process.

Speaking on his Rikishi Fatu Off The Top podcast, Rikishi made it clear he sees Fatu stepping into the main event picture against Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

“I’m seeing Jacob versus Drew McIntyre for WrestleMania for the belt,” Rikishi said. He didn’t stop there. “And then the belt switch hands.”

What Rikishi Predicted For The WWE Title at WrestleMania 42

Rikishi pointed to Fatu’s mindset and conditioning as key reasons behind his confidence. “He’s over that hump about okay I’m a WWE superstar now… he’s ready.” Rikishi further added, saying, “He’s in good shape. He’s in good health. His mind is set. Now it’s time to light him up.”

Fatu has quickly positioned himself as a wildcard on SmackDown. Since returning on January 9, 2026, he has repeatedly inserted himself into the Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre rivalry.

His attack during Rhodes and McIntyre’s title match that night allowed McIntyre to capture the championship.

He has continued targeting the WWE Champion, including a brutal ambush on the February 6 episode of SmackDown. Fatu also entered the Royal Rumble at No. 27 before being eliminated by eventual winner Roman Reigns.

While some expect Rhodes to emerge from the Elimination Chamber picture, Rikishi believes Fatu’s path leads straight to WrestleMania gold. He even compared a potential victory to Fatu’s prior United States Title win over LA Knight, suggesting lightning could strike twice.

With WrestleMania 42 set for Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Fatu remains a dark horse in the title hunt.

Whether Rikishi’s prediction proves prophetic or premature, one thing is clear — the Samoan Werewolf is howling at the moon, and the championship picture may soon feel the bite.
