Since 2024, WWE and TNA Wrestling have been working together.
In January 2025, they officially announced a multi-year partnership. Even before the announcement, stars from both companies had already started appearing on each other’s shows.
Several top names have crossed over during the partnership. The Hardy Boyz, Moose, and Joe Hendry who has now signed with WWE all appeared. Multiple NXT stars Trick Williams, Oba Femi also appeared in TNA. Among them, The Hardy Boyz have been the biggest TNA names to show up on WWE NXT.
The Hardy Boyz have confirmed that they are still in talks with WWE. In an interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Matt Hardy said more appearances could happen. “We’re in constant negotiations with WWE about doing some more stuff. We will do more with them.”
He also explained why they chose to remain with TNA instead of returning to WWE full-time. “It was very important to us to stay at TNA as opposed to becoming a WWE full-time act [again]. In TNA, we’re going to be put in a position to succeed, and we can contribute, and we can help the company grow and be better.”
“The relationship with WWE has been great. Anytime we’ve interacted with Shawn Michaels, he was absolutely awesome – Triple H, whoever, we’ve got along with everybody really good.” Hardy teased that fans have not seen the last of The Hardy Boyz in WWE. “I think you’re going to see some more cool Hardy Boyz moments in WWE before it’s all said and done in 2026.” [H/T: Fightful]
The partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling also saw The Hardy Boyz winning the NXT Tag Team Championships.
