Megan Bayne’s “Dangerous” Spot Draws Safety Concerns From Fans on AEW Dynamite

A scary spot involving Megan Bayne and Willow Nightingale on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite has fans talking. During a four-way TBS Championship match, Bayne had a rough landing that worried viewers.

The match featured TBS Champion Willow Nightingale defending her title against Mina Shirakawa, Marina Shafir, and Bayne. Nightingale came in strong after her recent success in Australia.

Early in the match, Shafir and Bayne teamed up and went straight after Nightingale. They tried to take control, but Willow powered back. She knocked both women out of the ring and hit a cannonball from the apron to the floor, getting a big reaction from the crowd.

Shirakawa then jumped from the top rope with a splash to the outside. Back in the ring, Bayne did a hurricanrana off the top rope, while Nightingale answered with strong spinebusters. Shafir broke up the pin just in time.

Bayne later hit a suicide dive to the outside, and she and Shafir even traded shots briefly. But the moment everyone is talking about is when Nightingale hit an avalanche German suplex from the top rope on Bayne.

AEW Fans Voice Concern Over Megan Bayne’s Close Call

When Bayne landed, it looked like her neck took most of the impact. The spot looked painful in real time and even worse on replay. Fans quickly reacted online, sharing clips and expressing concern about how hard the landing looked.

Some viewers felt the risk was added. Others also felt that wrestlers shouldn’t be sloppy at this point. Others thought it was too dangerous and were just relieved that Bayne was able to keep going.

Thankfully, the match continued. Shirakawa later hit a spinning backfist and tried to lock in a submission, but Nightingale countered with a roll-up to get the win and retain the TBS Championship.
