IYO SKY still has to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match, but she’s already planning to bring a special guest.
Monday’s episode of WWE RAW will feature a Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match between IYO, Raquel Rodriguez, and Kairi Sane. The winner will move on to join Tiffany Stratton, Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and Kiana James in the Chamber match.
WrestleZone Editor in Chief Bill Pritchard spoke with IYO SKY at WWE 2K26 Creator Fest at WWE Headquarters about her chances of earning a spot in the match. IYO is known for wielding garbage cans in the WarGames match at Survivor Series, but she also joked that she wants to sneak a trash can in, calling the weapon one of her friends.
“Yeah, if I’m in the match, I will try to sneak in the trash can,” IYO said. “’Cause the trash can is one of my friends.”
RHIYO tries to look the part
IYO SKY also spoke about how she has attempted to bond with her fellow WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Rhea Ripley. IYO said they’ve communicated with each other about doing matching gear. She also called out their distinctive look at WWE Crown Jewel in Australia last year.
“Yeah, ’cause sometimes we’re wearing matching gear, like black, white, and gold gear, or black and red gear. Sometimes we were texting each other, ‘Hey, what color gear are you going to bring?’ ‘Oh yeah, let’s pick this color.’ Something like that,” IYO explained. “Also, we had a championship [match] at Crown Jewel in Australia. She put my face in the RHIYO paint, and I put RHIYO paint on her face as well.”
IYO SKY was scheduled to face off with Giulia on Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown. However, IYO was pulled from the match hours before the show. Rhea Ripley ultimately competed in her place. Bodyslam.net’s Cory Hays later reported that IYO was fine, and the match was just being saved for a later date.
