Gunther is quickly adding more names to his list of retired WWE Superstars. Could a ‘Beast’ be the next to join that group?
“The Career Killer” has retired Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles in recent months. Now, as fans wait to see which WWE legend is next, a major name was pitched as Gunther’s next victim.
Gunther appeared on Atlanta’s The Morning Shift on 92.9 The Game to promote this week’s episode of WWE RAW in Atlanta. The show will feature an appearance by Brock Lesnar, who has been rumored to be considering retirement in the coming months.
When it’s time to retire someone, it feels like Gunther’s the guy to do it. Who would be next on his list? The Morning Shift asked Gunther if Brock Lesnar was next on his list, and the former WWE Champion showed interest in making that happen.
Gunther says Brock Lesnar is a “good one” to consider
“Oh, who do you think should be next?” Gunther asked.
“I’ll tell you who I think, and I know that he’s got a few appearances left, is Brock Lesnar.”
“That’s a good one, right? So, yeah, we’ll see. I think there’s a bunch of examples of people that overstay their welcome, and they just hang on a little bit too much to chase one moment too much,” Gunther said. “So it seems like there’s a big amount of people to choose from.”
The host joked that Gunther should also retire announcers, and called out Michael Cole and Pat McAfee. Gunther said sometimes he looks at Cole, who’s been in WWE for decades, and just thinks, ‘Go home, man. You’ve done your part. It’s time.”
Gunther also teased crashing AJ Styles’ tribute ceremony on RAW, and shared why he recently changed his WWE entrance theme.
