The Undertaker Says ‘Underutilized’ WWE Star Could Be A Top Player

The Undertaker shows support for WWE SmackDown star Chelsea Green.

Last month, WWE producer Michael Hayes made headlines when he suggested that former Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green could not be a top star in WWE because her primary job was to elevate the other talents around her.

Hayes has since clarified his comments on Six Feet Under, noting that Netflix, which broadcast the aforementioned comments on WWE Unreal season two, edited out his initial praise for Green. Still, Hayes doesn’t regret the remarks that did make air, as Green’s status then and now is indeed not at the top of the card.

“Chelsea is amazingly talented and amazingly entertaining. She can handle anything, but that’s the role she’s in right now,” Hayes said. “Not necessarily her fault, but to her credit, she knows her role, she does it, and she plays it with a smile.”

Weighing in on the situation, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker disclosed his belief that WWE underuses Green, but if given wider opportunities, she could ascend far up the rankings.

“I’ll put my two cents in. I think she’s underutilized. I think she, without a doubt, with just a hair more mean streak, I think she could be a top, top player. She has that thing, that it thing. She has the it factor. And I think there’s a lot of great things coming for that young lady. I’m a big fan of hers. There’s certain organizations around that know how to use her. I mean, I don’t know. You got to go south of the border, I’m just saying,” Undertaker said, referring to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, in which Green has reigned as a World Mixed Tag Team Champion.
