The Hall of Fame ring of a late WWE legend was among the things stolen in a recent break-in.
According to a Facebook post by reporter Nigel Maxwell, the crew of the Winnipeg, Canada-based promotion Canadian Wrestling Elite (CWE), became victims of a break-in after a recent show in Lloydminster. The valuables stolen include former WWE star Davey Boy Smith Jr.’s wrestling gear, travel bag, and his father, the British Bulldog’s, Hall of Fame ring, among other items. The promotion had contacted the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
They later provided an update that they had recovered some of the stolen items, but the British Bulldog’s WWE Hall of Fame ring remains to be found.
The post read:
“Need help from my friends and followers in the Lloydminster area. The CWE crew who performed last night were the victims of a break in at their hotel.
“Sometime early this morning someone broke into their trailer and stole the following items:
- “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith Jr.’s Wrestling Gear & Travel Bag
- Hart Foundation Leather Vest
- British Bulldog Hall Of Fame Ring
- Gold Chain & Jewelry
- CWE Tag Team Championship Belt
Update: the vest, gear and belt have been recovered.”
WWE announced the British Bulldog, who passed away in 2002, as an inductee into the 2020 class of the Hall of Fame, but inducted him the following year due to the pandemic.
WWE’s Natalya has announced a reward to return the Hall of Fame ring
After the news broke out, WWE Superstar and the British Bulldog’s niece, Natalya (Nattie), took to her Instagram stories to announce that she’s offering a $5000 reward if the items are returned. No questions asked.
“If anyone has any information on this – please DM me. These are valuable items of my cousins (Davey Boy Smith Jr.) and his late fathers ring gear. I’ll personally offer a 5000 usd reward if the items are returned. No questions asked,” the WWE star wrote.
