Cody Rhodes Reacts To 4th Consecutive WrestleMania Main Event

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes shares his reaction to main-eventing his fourth consecutive WrestleMania.

When it looked like he had lost every opportunity to enter the Undisputed WWE Championship picture for WrestleMania 42, Cody Rhodes got one last shot on last week’s episode of SmackDown. He defeated Drew McIntyre to win the title for the third time, and with that, Rhodes booked a showdown with his former mentor, Randy Orton, in the main event of WrestleMania 42 Night One.

After main-eventing WrestleManias 39, 40 (both nights), and 41, Cody Rhodes will do it again in his fourth consecutive WrestleMania (fifth main event overall) next month in Las Vegas. Reacting to a post addressing the stat on X/Twitter, Rhodes noted that records can always be broken, even if it’s your own.

‘”Records can be broken(even your own) There’s nothing like Mania,'” he posted.

Cody Rhodes has the chance to join Roman Reigns and Hulk Hogan in a unique record

Roman Reigns (37-41) and Hulk Hogan (5-9) currently hold the record for main-eventing five consecutive WrestleManias. Reigns, technically, has six main events in five consecutive WrestleManias as he had main-evented both nights of WrestleMania 40, and will break the record this year by main-eventing his sixth consecutive WrestleMania (seventh overall main event) when he faces CM Punk on night two.

If Cody Rhodes manages to secure the main event spot at WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia next year, he will join Hulk Hogan in the second spot behind Reigns by main-eventing five consecutive WrestleManias (sixth main event overall).
