CM Punk Says WWE Fans Have Helped Him Grieve His Dog’s Death

CM Punk thanks fans for love and support following Larry’s death.

Beloved dog Larry passed away in December 2025 after living for a decade with CM Punk and his wife AJ Lee. Larry had a strong following in the pro wrestling world, and his passing was even noted on WWE’s official website.

“We rescued Larry from @pawschicago in February of 2015 and he changed our lives. I could never in one million years find the words to properly express how much we loved him nor how much joy brought us,” Punk wrote on Instagram after his dog’s death.

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion raised $51,000 through a partnership with an animal charity. Punk teamed up with PAWS Chicago for its 2026 “Slice to Meet You” campaign, which raises funds for homeless dogs and cats in the Chicago area.

Speaking to Gaming Bible’s Richard Breslin, Punk expressed his gratitude over the viral announcement that Larry will appear as an in-game manager in WWE 2K26’s MyFACTION mode.

“It means a lot. I’ve cried once a day since Thanksgiving, you know, so it’s still pretty fresh, and it’s still pretty raw,” CM Punk said. “I don’t know if it’s ever gonna go away, but looking at pictures of him always makes me smile. Being able to share that joy with the world, it means a lot, you know.

“I see constant signs in the crowd and people’s messages, specifically about Larry. It’s great, you know, fans are always drawing him and making bracelets with his name on them and gestures like that. I love that little dude, and it’s cool to see that a lot of other people did too.”
