Chris Jericho Announces TV Return In Top-Rated CBS Series

Chris Jericho is making his TV return this week, announcing a guest role on a top-rated CBS series.

Jericho announced he will appear on the next episode of the CBS series Tracker. The episode, titled “Breakaway,” will air on Sunday, March 22 at 9 pm EST. According to Jericho, he plays Virgil Dean, the “lead bad guy” who is “not a nice person.”

What is Tracker about?

No other details about the plot were shared, but Jericho can be briefly seen in the teaser trailer for the episode. Jericho is wearing a ski hat as a man approaches him with a duffel bag. He’s then shown telling his crew, “Get ready boys…” as one loads a shotgun in a van.

Tracker features Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a survivalist who travels the country in his RV, living off the reward money he earns from helping find missing people. Tracker is not only CBS’s top-rated drama, but it has consistently been ranked as the #1 overall entertainment series on television for its past two seasons.

Where has Chris Jericho been?

Jericho has been absent from pro wrestling for almost a year. His last appearance was at AEW Dynasty in April 2025. Since then, it’s been speculated that he’s returning to WWE for a retirement run. However, despite rumors that he could appear at the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber, Jericho has not returned to wrestling in any capacity yet.

A recent report from Fightful suggested Jericho’s AEW contract may have been frozen after he stepped away in April 2025. In addition, Jericho has also been taking up multiple acting roles. Jericho said that he was preparing to film an unnamed movie in March, and he also has a guest role in Margo’s Got Money Troubles, premiering April 15 on Apple TV.
