WWE is gearing up for another crossover moment. A familiar celebrity name Sexyy Red has been announced for a return ahead of one of NXT’s biggest events of the year, Stand & Deliver.
During the March 17 episode of WWE NXT, subtle hints began to surface that could bring back a fan-favorite guest. The timing lines up almost too perfectly to ignore.
Later, it received the official confirmation.
Sexyy Red Return For WWE NXT Stand & Deliver
The initial tease came directly from Shawn Michaels. The WWE icon took to social media (X) to connect the dots between Sexyy Red’s upcoming album release and NXT Stand & Deliver, taking place in her hometown of St. Louis on April 4.
“Heard @SexyyRed314 new album… drops April 3… #StandAndDeliver heads to her hometown… It’s only right that we run it back,” Michaels wrote, making the invitation hard to miss — and even harder to ignore.
In a video accompanying the message, Michaels leaned fully into his “Heartbreak Kid” persona, dancing and vibing to her music before delivering a direct invite.
“Oh, there you are, oh my goodness, Sexyy, I’ve been listening to your song all week long, and now that I have thought about it, April 4, St. Louis, your hometown, Stand & Deliver. It’s time for Sexyy Red and HBK to get together one last time, so I’m officially inviting you to Stand & Deliver on April 4th because HBK is ready to get down with that bad Sexyy Red in St Louis,” he said, officially calling for her appearance at Stand & Deliver.
The tease builds on their previous collaboration in 2024, which saw Sexyy Red make multiple appearances under Michaels’ creative direction. From hosting NXT Battleground to getting involved in match outcomes, she quickly became a recognizable presence. Ultimately, she proved she could get over without even needing a finisher.
Michaels has previously praised her connection with the audience, noting her ability to stand out in the NXT environment. Their partnership also produced viral moments, including a memorable segment featuring Michaels’ iconic “Sexy Boy” theme.
With Stand & Deliver set for St. Louis, the stage appears ready.
