Fans are accusing former WWE executive John Laurinaitis of using AI to fake a photo from his recent autograph signing.
After Janel Grant dropped him as a defendant in her ongoing civil lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE, the company’s former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis, recently made his first public appearance.
Ohio-based independent promotion World Classic Professional Big Time Wrestling (WCPBTW) recently announced that John Laurinaitis would appear at its March Mayhem event on Saturday, March 14, in Chillicothe, Ohio. The former WWE executive appeared at the event for autographs and photo-ops. He shared a picture on his X/Twitter account, showing many fans lining up to get his autograph.
However, after noticing some strange details, fans were quick to accuse John Laurinaitis of altering the photo using AI to inflate the number of fans lining up to meet him.
“Using AI to fabricate a gimmick table line is the most carny sh*t I’ve ever seen. I’m in awe.” Big Trouble Ben Bishop wrote.
“This is flat out embarrassing. Even Virgil wouldn’t have done this,” another commented.
“Did… did he think no one would notice the AI??? This is pathetic lmao,” another fan posted.
John Laurinaitis has since deleted the post, which has only added more fuel to the speculations. A fan who attended the event shared a picture of himself standing in a long line to meet WCW legend, Diamond Dallas Page. Laurinaitis is in the bottom-right side of the picture, and it clearly shows that there was no long line of fans waiting for his autograph.
