Kit Wilson isn’t underestimating Jelly Roll ahead of their WWE SmackDown match.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Wilson addressed his upcoming bout against the three-time Grammy winner, noting that while Jelly Roll is primarily known as a singer, he has a genuine passion for professional wrestling.
“I’m not taking him lightly,” Kit Wilson said. “He has a passion for WWE and I think that’s the big difference between a lot of celebrities before and maybe a Jelly Roll and a Logan Paul. I know I’m good at this. I know I’m one of the best. I know I’m going to be one of the future greats, but Jelly Roll cares. Jelly Roll has passion. So I know not to underestimate that.”

Elsewhere, in an interview with Rick Ucchino on TakeDown on SI, Wilson described the match as the biggest of his career. According to the SmackDown star, the high-profile showdown could serve as a stepping stone to bigger opportunities.
“This is the biggest match of my career, and that’s not a knock on any professional wrestler, but that is just to highlight how big of a superstar Jelly Roll is in his own right,” Kit Wilson said. “He loves this business and he wants to be a part of this business. So this is big for him, ’cause I’m giving him this time, but this is big for me as well. I won’t deny that.
“I don’t take this lightly. This is a big deal. I’m gonna make the most of it in every single category. In the ring, I’m gonna show my dominance. On the way to the ring, I’m gonna show how good I look. Afterwards, I’m gonna continue to run my mouth like I did before. And I’ll do it the same the week after, and after, and after. This is just a launching pad to bigger and better things,” Kit Wilson said.
