Tessa Blanchard reveals that she suffered a hand injury after her brutal Bunkhouse match on TNA iMPACT.
The April 2 episode of TNA iMPACT on AMC featured a Bunkhouse match between Tessa Blanchard and Jody Threat. Blanchard won the match, but later revealed on X/Twitter that she sustained a hand injury. She cut a promo on her opponent and posted a photo revealing the bruises on her right hand. She noted that she did the damage to herself and put the entire Knockouts division on notice.
“My hand? I did that to myself. Not Jody. Not the match. Me. Because when I step into that ring, I don’t hold back… I let every ounce of frustration, every ounce of pressure, everything this industry has tried to put on me… loose. You can talk about birthrights. You can talk about what you think you deserve. The sacrifices, the waiting, the excuses… But I don’t wait. I take. So to the entire Knockouts division… you better buckle tf up. I’m not here to fit in… I’m here to remind you exactly who runs this,” Tessa Blanchard wrote.
Tessa Blanchard says she reminded everyone who she is
Speaking in the promo video, Tessa Blanchard noted that she doesn’t follow trends or wait for opportunities, and that she used the Bunkhouse match to remind everyone who she is and what she’s capable of.
“Jody, you didn’t lose tonight because you’re weak. You’re not weak. You lost tonight because you stepped into the ring with the woman who refuses to hold anything back,” Tessa Blanchard said. “The frustration, the anger, it’s precisely what makes me so damn dangerous.
“The Knockouts division is constantly talking about who’s next, what’s next, who’s rising, but let me make something abundantly clear: There is no next when I’m standing right here. I don’t follow trends. I don’t wait for opportunities, I take them, and tonight, I took that match, I took that spotlight, and I reminded everyone exactly who Tessa Blanchard is.”
