New NXT Women’s Champion Crowned At NXT Stand & Deliver

During Saturday’s NXT Stand & Deliver, a brand new NXT Women’s Champion was crowned in an electric Triple Threat Match.

In a Triple Threat Match between reigning champion Jacy Jayne, Kendal Grey, and Lola Vice, it was Vice who would walk out as the new champion. In a match that featured a number of big spots, things came down to a chaotic finish.

Toward the end of the match, Jayne went for a pin on Grey, but Vice put Grey’s foot on the rope to keep the match going. Lainey Reid (who was at ringside along with Fallon Henley for Jayne) attempted to interfere with Henley, but Wren Sinclair (who came to the ring with Grey) dealt with them.

Grey then hit both Lola and Jayne with an Asai Moonsault, and hit Jayne with a Shades of Grey, but Vice broke up the pin by putting Grey in a Rear Naked Choke. Jayne then hit Grey with a Rolling Encore, but Vice hit Jayne with a spinning backfist for the win.

With the win, Vice becomes the first Cuban-American champion in the brand’s history, and begins her own reign with the title.
