It appears WWE could add more contestants to a major WrestleMania 42 match.
With the PLE fast-approaching, one of the major matches on the WWE WrestleMania 42 card is the fatal-five-way ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. Penta will defend the title against Je’Von Evans, Rusev, JD McDonagh, and Dragon Lee. The four challengers earned the opportunity by winning qualifying matches on the April 2 episode of Main Event.
However, Penta’s recent interaction with a RAW star could hint that the promotion might suggest that the ladder match at WrestleMania 42 could have at least one more participant. WWE posted a video on its X/Twitter account showing El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) expressing frustration over not being featured in the Intercontinental Title match.
El Grande Americano said the contest, which features two luchadors, would be a disgrace if it didn’t feature the greatest luchador, himself. Penta replied to the video and responded to Americano, saying, “The only ‘disgrace’ is you wearing that mask. EARN your way to Wrestlemania and I might just take it off… c.t.m ….zero miedo.”
Penta challenging El Grande Americano to earn his way into the ladder match at WWE WrestleMania 42 might hint that the promotion could find a way to insert the masked superstar into the contest. It will also be interesting to see whether the Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) would enter the picture if Ludwig Kaiser’s version earns the opportunity.
