WWE Fans Speculate Brock Lesnar Retirement After Gunther’s RAW Segment

Gunther’s words on the April 6, 2026, episode of WWE RAW gave birth to massive speculation regarding Brock Lesnar’s retirement.

Gunther and Seth Rollins have an ongoing feud on the road to WrestleMania. It started last week when Adam Pearce revealed that Rolliins had been medically cleared to wrestle. Just when Seth Rollins went to attack Paul Heyman, the former WWE Champion attacked Rollins from behind and took him down with his Sleeper hold.

Later in the show, Pearce made it official. Gunther will face Rollins at WrestleMania 42. But the Ring General, apparently saving Heyman, seemingly has more implications than it seems.

Fans believe Gunther’s message to Paul Heyman may hint at a Brock Lesnar retirement angle

This week on RAW, Rollins came out to address his feud with Gunther. He said that he couldn’t think of any better reason for their rivalry other than that Gunther has made a deal with Paul Heyman.

The Ring General then came out, and both wrestlers got into a physical confrontation. However, the WWE officials were able to separate them.

But as Gunther was walking back backstage, he met with Heyman and said, “You owe me so much more than a very big thank you.”

Over the past year, Gunther has built a strong reputation. He has retired big names such as Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles, and earned the nickname “The Career Killer.” Now, many fans think he might be targeting Brock Lesnar next.

After that interaction, fans shared their thoughts online. Many believe Gunther’s comment to Heyman might suggest a deal between both for a match with Lesnar in the future. Some think Gunther and Lesnar may fight at SummerSlam.

Lesnar’s retirement talks have been going on for a while. Since SummerSlam might take place in his home state, Minnesota, many think it could be the perfect goodbye, with the Ring General possibly ending his career.

Nothing is confirmed yet. But given how dominant Gunther has been, it’s hard to think of any other wrestler other than him for the role.
