Royce Keys seems to be cooking up something for WWE fans.
Following his exit from AEW, Royce Keys (formerly Powerhouse Hobbs) made his WWE debut as a surprise entrant in the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble, during which he notably eliminated former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest. Since then, however, Keys’ momentum has cooled off due to an extended absence from WWE television.
Based on a new social media post, it seems that things could finally be heating up for Keys.
On X, the new WWE star posted a GIF implying that he’s got something cooking in the kitchen, or in this case, in WWE. The contents of his plans are unclear, though given the timing, it’s possible that they could involve WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
In recent weeks, Keys has competed in a series of dark matches ahead of WWE SmackDown and WWE Raw. His latest pitted him against former NXT Tag Team Champion Brutus Creed. Elsewhere, Keys has taken on the likes of Rey Fenix, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, and Nathan Frazer. In all cases, Keys has emerged victorious in his dark matches.
According to reports, Keys is undergoing a routine process in which WWE prepares new talents for their full-time debut. Part of that process includes being acclimated to how WWE operates its production.
In AEW, Hobbs enjoyed one reign as TNT Champion as well as one with the AEW World Trios Championships, the latter of which he lost in his final match under the respective banner.
