Christian Cage Delivers Wild Line About FTR’s ‘Mothers’ on AEW Dynamite

The April 8, 2026, episode of AEW Dynamite got wild as Christian Cage showed once again why he is one of the best talkers in wrestling. During a segment with FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), he said something very personal that raised everyone’s eyebrows.

This was just the latest moment in a rivalry that has been building for months. Since returning at Revolution in March 2026, Copeland and Cage have been going after FTR and their titles. Over time, things have become more personal, with both sides trading insults and attacks.

On Dynamite, Cage was in the ring with Adam Copeland as they spoke about their upcoming AEW World Tag Team Title match against FTR at AEW Dynasty. While Copeland talked about their rivalry and called FTR jealous, Cage went much further.

Playing into his “Patriarch” character, Cage joked that FTR had upset not just him and Copeland but all of Canada. He called Harwood and Wheeler “naughty.” Then he surprised everyone by saying he had “visited” their mothers, and by “visiting” he meant he had slept with them.

“As everybody’s favorite father figure, I have to say you’ve been very very naughty. So naughty in fact, I was forced to pay a visit both of your mothers. And just so there’s no confusion, when I say pay a visit, I mean I banged them both,” Cage said.

Cage added that he might “visit” Stokely Hathaway’s mother next.

The crowd immediately broke into laughter after this unexpected line, which is exactly the kind of reaction Cage was going for.

However, the segment turned into a fight when RPG Vice attacked Cage and Copeland from behind, seeking revenge for the last week. FTR then joined in, and it turned into a full beatdown.

A steel chair was brought in, and Copeland took a hard shot. Hathaway hit Cage with a spear, and then FTR attacked Cage’s arm with a chair.
