WWE RAW star Joaquin Wilde says his new look is a “correction.”
On the April 9 episode of WWE Main Event, LWO member Joaquin Wilde walked in with a “new” look for his match against the Original El Grande Americano. He sported spiky hair and a short, open black jacket. The commentators addressed the change, and Blake Howard noted that “it’s almost like he’s spinning the tables again.”
That is exactly the case, as fans were quick to point out that Joaquin Wilde had brought back his DJ Z look from TNA. The WWE star took to X/Twitter to respond to a post about his look, saying it’s “Not a reinvention. This is a correction.”
Joaquin Wilde signed with TNA in 2011 and competed under the name Zema Ion before becoming DJ Z in February 2014 after joining the BroMans a few months before. He is a former TNA World Tag Team and two-time X-Division Champion. He left the promotion after his contract expired in December 2018 and signed with WWE in May 2019.
Joaquin Wilde’s LWO partners have qualified for the WWE WrestleMania 42 ladder match
While Joaquin Wile and Cruz Del Toro didn’t get an opportunity, their LWO partners Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio have qualified for the Intercontinental Championship ladder match at WWE WrestleMania 42.
Dragon Lee won a qualifying match on the April 2 episode of WWE Main Event by defeating Grayson Waller. Rey Mysterio, on the other hand, returned from injury on the April 6 episode of RAW and announced he will also compete in the contest at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Penta, the defending champion, will put his title on the line in a six-pack ladder match against Dragon Lee, Rey Mysterio, Je’Von Evans, JD McDonagh, and Rusev at WWE WrestleMania 42 Night 2 on Sunday, April 19.
