This WWE Superstar got AJ Styles’ blessing to use the Styles Clash.
During a recent interview with Joey Karni, RAW Superstar Dragon Lee revealed that former tag team partner AJ Styles gave him his approval to use the Styles Clash.
“Just imagine how is my life, man. Being with the greatest of all time here and now, being with the greatest of all time, AJ Styles. It’s something like nobody give it to me. I earned every single opportunity because I’ve been doing my 100% what I’m telling you every single time when I step in the ring. And they knew it,” Lee said.
Dragon Lee said he took the Styles Clash as a form of respect, not because he chose it himself. He added that being acknowledged by legends like Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles is something he finds incredible.
“Now I took the Styles Clash as honor from AJ but not because I choose it. I asked and he told me, ‘You’re my brother, do it’ because you know I earn the respect from the locker room but earn the respect from legend like Rey (Mysterio), like AJ that’s unbelievable for me.” [H/T F4Wonline.com]
AJ Styles and Dragon Lee briefly formed a tag team in 2025, going on to capture the World Tag Team Championship. The duo held the titles for 70 days before eventually losing them to The Usos. Styles later retired from WWE at the 2026 Royal Rumble PLE and is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame later tonight.
