WATCH: CM Punk Smacks Fan’s Phone Away After Incident At WWE Hotel

CM Punk got into an altercation with a fan and smacked his phone out of his hand after WWE WrestleMania 42.

CM Punk lost the World Heavyweight Championship in a highly anticipated clash against Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 42. Despite bringing his best, exhaustion got the best of him in the end, as Punk fell victim to one last spear from Reigns at the PLE.

Following the event, CM Punk got into an altercation with a fan in the lobby of the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino on the Vegas Strip just after midnight on Monday. Video footage posted by TMZ Sports captured Punk slapping the phone out of the fan’s hand. This came after the latter filmed Bayley hugging someone, who appeared to be AJ Lee, in the WWE talent hotel lobby.

Another fan who claimed to have witnessed the incident said Punk got involved after the fan put his arm around AJ for a selfie, even though she had said no.

Security and TNA’s Ace Steel (in the Foundation jacket) got between CM Punk and the fan before things could escalate. The latter ran away, apologizing as Punk stared at him coldly.

Punk seemed to be in a good mood even after his defeat at WWE WrestleMania 42. He was also seen putting on a fan’s “CM Punk is a babygirl” shirt while making his way to the back after the match. However, he draws the line when it comes to fans invading his personal space and filming his wife having a personal moment with their friend.

Roman Reigns says he gained respect for CM Punk after WWE WrestleMania 42

After becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns appeared on the WWE WrestleMania 42 Post Show. He reacted to his big win and explained why he gained respect for CM Punk after their clash.

“The fact that I’m out here as the Tribal Chief, and I can still hear a couple of people calling for CM Punk, you have to respect that. Do I respect the man and his personal life? I don’t know. But when he steps into the arena, when the ring is set up, and the pyro is gonna go off, I got a lot of respect for the man that steps into the arena and performs in front of all these people. Because he puts his heart, he puts his soul, he puts his physicality on the line,” he said.

“Do we see eye to eye? Hell no! Are we cut from the same fabric? Hell no! But at the same time, we’re part of the same fraternity just like you and I. Just like me and (Big) E. There’s very few of us. So when you could go out there and you could main event, and you can put it on the line, and you can actually hold your own, CM Punk didn’t just run his mouth, he backed it up. He just ran into a better man,” Roman Reigns said.
