She has also faced newer names from the current roster. Her last match came in July 2025. That bout saw her challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship.
Since then, she has remain absent from in-ring action. Recently, Stratus spoke about one rising name in particular. She pointed to Sol Ruca as someone who stood out. The moment happened when she watched her live at a major event. It was during John Cena’s final match show. That experience left a strong impression on her.

Speaking on SiriusXM Sports’ Pro Wrestling Nation, Trish Stratus was asked who she would face if she had one more match. The first name that came to her mind was Sol Ruca. She said, “When I went to John Cena’s final match, I got to see Sol Ruca up close and in person. I was blown away.” [H/T: Wrestletalk]
Sol Ruca earned a big win at the Saturday Night’s Main Event: John Cena’s Final Match show where she defeated Bayley clean. Since then she has kept building momentum, even though she lost to Zaria in the NXT final. Earlier this week, she made her WWE RAW debut and looked impressive against Liv Morgan. However, Zaria interfered and caused her to lose the match.
