The fallout from WrestleMania 42 is still being felt across WWE, and one top star has now revealed just how emotional one particular moment turned out to be — even if the full story behind it isn’t as clear-cut as it first seemed.
During WrestleMania 42 on April 19 in Las Vegas, Brock Lesnar suffered a quick loss to Oba Femi and followed it with a striking gesture that had fans and talent reading between the lines — or perhaps between the ropes.
Tiffany Stratton reacts to Brock Lesnar’s emotional WrestleMania moment
Speaking to Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely during Netflix’s post-WrestleMania press event, Tiffany Stratton opened up about Lesnar’s apparent retirement tease and didn’t hold back her reaction.
“I don’t know. When I saw Brock unlace his boots, I almost shed a tear. I was sad for him,” Stratton said. “He looked like he started crying a little bit too… he’s just a boy. It’s his first time living too.”
Lesnar’s actions inside Allegiant Stadium told a powerful story. After the match, he left his gloves and boots in the ring, kissed the mat, and shared an emotional moment with Paul Heyman.
The crowd responded with a standing ovation, making it feel less like a loss and more like a final bell — though not officially confirmed as one.
Stratton, however, isn’t ready to call it a career just yet. “So hopefully it’s not his last match. Hopefully, at SummerSlam in Minnesota, we’ll get to see him again. I think that would be iconic — retiring in your hometown,” she added.
She closed on a note that captured the mixed emotions many felt that night. “But yeah, I’m really sad, but happy for him.”
While Lesnar’s future remains uncertain, the reaction from peers like Stratton shows just how much that moment landed — a rare case where even the toughest competitors nearly tapped out to emotion.
