WWE legend Rey Mysterio made a rare unmasked appearance.
WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio appeared fully unmasked in a TikTok video with his daughter Aalyah back in 2024. The clip has now resurfaced on social media and is gaining traction. He shared a fun moment with his daughter, chatting in Spanish about seeing “un marciano” (a martian) and dancing around in the video.
Her previous TikToks show Rey Mysterio wearing his iconic mask or covering his face. The video is one of the few rare instances in which the legendary luchador fully showed his face in public.
Rey Mysterio returned to in-ring competition following an injury at WWE WrestleMania 42, where he competed in the Intercontinental Championship ladder match. He then defeated El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) on this week’s episode of RAW.
Rey Mysterio gives an update on his daughter’s future in wrestling
Rey Mysterio’s daughter, Aalyah, played a significant role in her father and brother Dominik’s feud against Seth Rollins’ faction in 2020. She even had a romantic angle with current AEW star Buddy Matthews. While she hasn’t made any notable on-screen appearances after WWE scrapped the storyline (except for a cameo at WrestleMania 39), she created some buzz when she trained at the Performance Center and Natalya’s Dungeon 2.0 last year.
Speaking on Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, Rey Mysterio gave an update on Aalyah’s future in wrestling.
“So I said, ‘Okay, the next step would be, let’s see if you can go through a full week of training. And if you can do that and you like it afterwards, then maybe it’s something you might want to think about.’ I’m actually trying to get her out there pretty soon so she can just feel what it’s like to train every day,” Rey Mysterio said. “Wake up, work out all day, sleep, back, same thing, That’s insane.
