WWE NXT is expanding its reach.
Earlier this week, WWE announced The CW as the new home for NXT premium live events for fans in the United States. The multi-year agreement will officially take effect with The Great American Bash PLE, which is slated for sometime later this summer.
Through another new partnership between the CW and ESPN, fans in the United States will soon have an additional option on the table for their NXT viewing experiences. Today, a press release revealed that the ESPN will expand its lineup to include all CW Sports live events, specifically on the ESPN app. This means that, beginning in summer of 2026, all WWE NXT weekly episodes and monthly premium live events, will stream through the ESPN app.
It should be clarified that this news does not eliminate the ability for fans to watch NXT and its PLEs on the linear CW channel. Instead, it offers them another way to watch the action, similar to AEW Dynamite airing on TBS and simulcasting on HBO Max on Wednesday nights.
“Joining forces with ESPN is a monumental next step in the evolution of CW Sports,” said CW Network President Brad Schwartz. “The CW now offers more than 800 hours of premium live sports per year. This agreement extends the reach of CW Sports and enables us to capture audiences across the best of broadcast and the best of streaming, ensuring fans can access live CW Sports wherever they are and on whatever device they prefer…”
Other CW sports included in this streaming deal are college football, the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, PBA Bowling, PBR Bull Riding, and AVP volleyball.
