WWE Legend Once Hosted ESPN Speedboat Racing Championships

WWE legend Miss Elizabeth is known for her work in the ring, but she had a whole other career that’s surfaced over the years.

A video uploaded to YouTube that’s since gone viral showcases a boat racing championship event in Florida in 1993. The broadcast, which is being hosted by ESPN, actually features Miss Elizabeth, real name Elizabeth Hulette, as part of the show. She can be briefly seen throughout the broadcast, and is named as “Liz Hulette” in her segments.

Check out the video featuring Miss Elizabeth below:

While likely a little-known part of her career, Hulette spent a two-year stint working in sports broadcasting. After a long and illustrious career in wrestling from 1983-1992, Hulette began working as a color commentator and correspondent for ESPN.

Hulette specifically covered the world of offshore powerboat racing, with Hulette appearing mostly on ESPN’s SpeedWorld banner. Hulette’s time in the world of broadcasting would come to an end when she signed with WCW in 1996 and resumed her wrestling career, albeit away from Randy Savage, whom she had divorced in 1992.

Hulette died on May 1, 2003, in Marietta, Georgia, where she was living with Lex Luger at the time. Hulette’s cause of death was ruled an accidental result of acute toxicity due to consuming a mix of painkillers and vodka.
