Donald Trump Uses Ted Turner’s Death To Take Shots At CNN

Donald Trump took a shot at CNN in his statement about Ted Turner’s passing.

US President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to pay tribute to the legendary media mogul, Ted Turner, who passed away at the age of 87.

However, he took a shot at CNN in his statement.

Donald Trump called Ted Turner one of the “Greats of All Time” and a friend willing to fight for good causes. However, he also claimed that Turner was devastated when new owners transformed CNN, “his baby,” into what he viewed as “woke” and contrary to its original vision.

Trump hopes that the new owners, Paramount Skydance’s Larry Ellison and his son, David Ellison, will restore CNN to its former glory.

Donald Trump’s statement on Truth Social (and re-shared on Twitter/X by the official White House press account) is below:

“Ted Turner, one of the Greats of All Time, just died. He founded CNN, sold it, and was personally devastated by the Deal because the new ownership took CNN, his “baby,” and destroyed it. It became woke, and everything that he is not all about. Maybe the new buyers, wonderful people, will be able to bring it back to its former credibility and glory. Regardless, however, one of the Greats of Broadcast History, and a friend of mine. Whenever I needed him, he was there, always willing to fight for a good cause! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
