WWE’s Oba Femi Reveals Surprising Talent That Nearly Became His Career Choice

Oba Femi opens up about a hidden talent that many fans may not know about.

During an interview with CNN’s Larry Madowo, the WWE star shared that he once believed he would become an artist because of how talented he was at drawing as a child.

“As a kid, because they told me I was good at it, I thought I was going to be an artist,” Femi said.

Femi, who holds a bachelor’s degree in visual arts, admitted he has not drawn in a long time and explained that his passion for art eventually faded due to the expectations placed on him.

“As I grew older, it kind of became a chore,” he said. “It became this thing where people put me in a box, because I was good at it. They said, ‘Oh, you are going to be an artist. Oh, he’s good at art,’ and it didn’t really give me the opportunity to explore and see what I actually was good at.”

The WWE star added that the pressure eventually led to burnout, causing art to feel more like a skill than a true passion.

“So after a while there was a little bit of burnout and it just became something I was good at as opposed to a passion.”

Oba Femi was most recently seen in action on WWE RAW, where he faced Otis. Fans can catch up on WrestleZone’s full coverage of the show here.
