Nikki Cross’s First Post-WWE Match Revealed

Last month, WWE released a number of talents from its roster, including former Raw Women’s Champion Nikki Cross. Fortunately, it seems that Cross has already landed back on her feet.

PROGRESS Wrestling confirmed that Cross will compete at its upcoming Chapter 196: Scorchio event, set for the Electric Ballroom in London, England on July 26.

“HUGE NEWS Nikki Storm (formerly Nikki Cross) will be competing at Chapter 196: Scorchio on Sunday 26th July! We are delighted to have Nikki wrestling and we will be announcing her opponent soon,” the promotion wrote on X. Alexxis Falcon currently reigns as the PROGRESS Women’s Champion, having dethroned Rayne Leverkusen (now known as WWE’s Lizzy Rain) back in January 2026.

As of this writing, this will mark Cross’s first post-WWE match. For the occasion, Cross perform under her former ring name Nikki Storm, which she recently applied to trademark.

PROGRESS will also mark Cross’ first wrestling match overall since December 29, 2024, when she Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Erick Rowan collided with the Final Testament at a WWE live event in Chicago. Cross’ last indie wrestling appearance took place ICW’s BarraMania II in April 2016. There, Sammii Jayne (aka Emerysn Jayne) defeated her in a Loser Leaves Town bout.

Following her outing at PROGRESS, Cross will return stateside for WrestleCon weekend in Minneapolis. She will appear alongside all her former Wyatt Sicks stablemates, who were also released from WWE last month.
