CM Punk Had Emotional Reaction To Eddie Guerrero’s Daughter Becoming A Wrestler

Former WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero sadly died in November 2005 at the age of 38. Still, his spirit lives on through his family, including his daughter Sherilyn Guerrero.

While appearing on The @smoothvega Podcast, Sherilyn recalled the emotional reaction that Eddie’s friend and current WWE star CM Punk had upon seeing her again last month. The reunion came amidst a women’s wrestling seminar hosted by Bayley during WrestleMania 42 weekend.

“So with CM Punk, I would go with him to like his Make-A-Wishes. I would follow him around the ring. He was an older brother I needed after my dad passed away,” Sherilyn said. “And to see him was so heartwarming. We just hugged. When I saw a Big Show, JBL, I actually saw JBL in Bay City for the first time before the conventions. There’s a warm embrace. I think they kind of feel my dad when they hug me, so it’s healing for both of us. For me, it’s just like as a kid, and for them, I think I bring a presence of my dad with them. I hope it’s as heartwarming as I think it is too. But I know CM Punk was like, ‘Don’t tell me you’re wrestling.’ I said, ‘I sure am,’ and he just embraced me. It’s not cliche, but it’s God. I really feel like it was just it’s supposed to happen, reconnecting.”

Recently, Sherilyn shared footage of her encounter with Punk, which showed the two embracing after she asked if he remembered her. Sherilyn began her own in-ring journey last year by training at Reality of Wrestling.
