WATCH: LA Knight’s 619 Attempt Goes Hilariously Wrong At WWE Live Event

LA Knight picked up a victory over Dominik Mysterio during WWE’s live event in Liverpool, England, but it wasn’t the match finish that had fans talking afterward.

Instead, an unexpected in-ring moment quickly stole the spotlight and generated plenty of laughs from those in attendance.

The May 28 event at the M&S Bank Arena marked the first stop of WWE’s European tour ahead of Clash in Italy.

While Knight ultimately left with his hand raised, one attempted tribute to a legendary move didn’t quite go according to plan.

LA Knight’s Rey Mysterio tribute turns into an unplanned comedy spot

During the match, Knight attempted to hit a 619 on Dominik Mysterio, borrowing the signature maneuver made famous by Dominik’s father, Rey Mysterio.

The setup looked promising at first. Knight launched himself toward the ropes and swung his legs through as intended. However, the execution quickly unraveled when he became tangled in the ropes and awkwardly lost control of his momentum.

Instead of connecting cleanly, Knight found himself twisted up and hanging in an uncomfortable position. The mishap left him struggling to untangle himself while Dominik remained on the mat and the referee looked on. Fans immediately reacted to the accidental comedy, turning the botched move into one of the night’s most memorable moments.

Fortunately for Knight, the brief stumble didn’t stop him from getting back on track. He recovered, regained control of the match, and eventually defeated Dominik.

The light-hearted moment came during a busy night for WWE’s European tour, which also featured Cody Rhodes defeating Gunther in a Tables Match, Jacob Fatu overcoming Solo Sikoa in a Street Fight, and Trick Williams successfully defending the WWE United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes.

Knight currently has bigger goals on his mind than perfecting a 619. After recently declaring for the 2026 King of the Ring tournament on RAW, he’s focused on earning another shot at championship glory.

Still, this time the ropes may have been the real heel of the match — proving that even a superstar known for saying “YEAH!” occasionally runs into a moment that earns a collective “whoops.”
