Former WWE Interviewer Says LA Knight Got Her in Trouble During Live Segment

Former WWE broadcaster Kayla Braxton has reflected on a memorable live television moment involving LA Knight. She revealed that one of her final interviews with the popular star left people backstage asking questions — even if nobody expressed concern about it.

Speaking during a recent appearance on TMZ Sports’ Inside The Ring, Braxton looked back on her final weeks in WWE. She shared a story behind an unscripted exchange that briefly threw her off track during a live segment.

Kayla Braxton explains what happened during LA Knight interview

According to Braxton, the segment took place near the end of her WWE run and featured LA Knight doing what he does best — taking control of the microphone.

“He was the one who my final interview with LA Knight, like probably my second last show, got you in trouble. Got me in some trouble,” Braxton recalled.

She explained that Knight unexpectedly added material to the segment, leaving her trying to stay focused on the planned script.

“I know they were backstage like, ‘Did you forget your lines?’ I’m like, no, I didn’t forget my lines. He added a whole new… and with us, like I’m trying to stay on track, but he’s just so good on the mic.”

Braxton admitted she could have handled the situation differently but said her reaction was based on the story being told on screen. Since Knight’s character was verbally putting her down during the segment, she didn’t feel it made sense for her character to play along.

“I should have just rolled with it,” she said. “But I was like, I’m not saying it back to you.”

Importantly, Braxton clarified that the incident didn’t lead to any real backstage heat.

“I didn’t actually get in trouble. No one was mad at it,” she explained. “I think they just thought it was really funny.”

Braxton left WWE in June 2024 after nearly eight years with the company. While she has turned her focus to acting, hosting, and independent media projects, this story serves as a reminder that when LA Knight grabs a microphone, even the script might need to tap out.
