WWE Makes Major Change to Finn Balor’s Future With New Move

Finn Balor’s WWE future took a significant turn during this week’s episode of RAW in Turin, Italy. The company officially confirmed a roster move that could reshape his path heading into the summer.

The announcement came during the June 1 broadcast from the Inalpi Arena, just days before the King of the Ring tournament gets underway.

While fans had already spotted clues pointing in this direction, WWE finally made the move official on-air.

Finn Balor officially joins SmackDown and enters King Of The Ring

During a commercial break segment, Byron Saxton revealed that Balor had been traded from RAW to SmackDown.

The announcement came while Saxton interviewed Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. The duo reacted positively to the news and suggested their former Judgment Day ally should “run away.”

The move had been quietly foreshadowed earlier when Balor appeared in the King of the Ring bracket as a SmackDown Superstar before WWE formally acknowledged the switch.

Balor’s arrival on the blue brand comes at an important moment in his career. After spending nearly three years as a key member of Judgment Day, tensions within the faction eventually led to his split from the group.

The rivalry reached its peak at WrestleMania 42 when Balor defeated Dominik Mysterio in a Street Fight while bringing back his Demon persona.

He later closed the book on his feud with JD McDonagh, winning the deciding match in their best-of-three series during a Street Fight on the May 18 edition of RAW.

Now, a new challenge awaits. Balor competes in a Fatal Four-Way opening-round King of the Ring match against LA Knight, Jey Uso, and Royce Keys on SmackDown later this week.

The stakes are high, as the tournament winner will earn a shot at the world championship at SummerSlam. For Balor, the trade represents more than just a change of scenery. It’s a fresh chance to climb back into the main event picture.

With Judgment Day in his rearview mirror and King of the Ring on the horizon, Balor’s next chapter is already underway.
