Real American Freestyle wrestler Georgio Poullas was arrested after allegedly slamming another person through a glass table at a bachelor party.
Georgio Poullas (26) was arrested alongside his brother Nicholas on June 5 after an oceanfront bachelor party in Delray Beach, Florida, ended in a brawl. He’s part of Real American Freestyle, a promotion started by Eric Bischoff and late WWE legend Hulk Hogan.
According to a police report, as first reported by Boca Daily News, his occupation is listed as “Youtuber,” and he was arrested after he allegedly slammed another person through a glass table at a bachelor party, causing laceration injuries. He’s charged with felony aggravated battery and “intentionally or knowingly causes great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement.”
Delray Beach police officers arrived at the scene after receiving reports of several people involved in a fight at an Airbnb on Rhodes Villa Avenue. According to a probable cause affidavit, Georgio Poullas and his brother Nicholas were allegedly “berating” their sister, who was the bride-to-be at the event, which also served as a bachelorette party.
The groom and his brother stepped in to defend her after Nicholas allegedly pushed the future bride, which led to a physical altercation. The groom reportedly fell to the ground after Georgio Poullas punched him in the face. The wrestler continued attacking him as the latter stayed down in a defensive position, covering his head. He landed punches to the back of his head and kicks to his ribcage area, something the victim later described to officers as like being “curb stomped.”
The wrestler and his brother were found hiding in a bush
When the groom’s brother tried to intervene to break up the fight, police noted that Georgio Poullas “intentionally grabbed the groom’s brother and slammed him onto a glass coffee table” in the living room. The wrestler then allegedly continued the assault by striking him with his fists and knees while choking him.
Medical personnel treated the groom’s brother, who sustained several bleeding lacerations on his hands and above his eye. The groom suffered a laceration to his upper lip and a hematoma to his left eye and brow.
Police noted that after they arrived, several people, including the Poullas brothers, had already fled the scene. However, using their K-9 unit, officers found the wrestler and his brother “completely concealed” deep within a bush at a neighboring home.
Police arrested Georgio Poullas and took him to the Palm Beach County Jail, and released him after he posted a $1,500 bail. His brother Nicholas faces a lesser charge of simple battery. The wrestler is due back in court on July 9.
