Former WWE star Heidenreich says he feared his career was over after he thought he had seriously injured Randy Orton.
Former WWE Tag Team Champion Hiedenrech gained some attention after a picture of him working at Walmart went viral earlier this year. It led to him appearing on the latest episode of the INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet podcast.
During the conversation, he opened up about facing the likes of Randy Orton very early in his career in OVW. He then recalled a practice session with Orton when he lost his balance and fell onto the 14-time WWE Champion while performing a sunset flip. Heidenreich revealed that an ambulance was called after the accident, and he feared he might’ve injured the Legend Killer’s neck.
However, Randy Orton turned out to be fine, but the entire ordeal made him fear that his WWE career was over.
“Me and Randy, we were actually practicing one day, and I went to give him a sunset flip, or he was giving one, and I lost my balance and fell on him. I landed on his face and neck, and I thought I hurt him, man. I was like, I’m done. That’s Randy Orton. I thought I might have hurt his neck. He turned out to be fine. They called an ambulance, bro, because I thought I landed on his face and his neck, and I was thinking, Oh my god, if I hurt him, I’ll say I’m just gonna quit, because they might kill me,” the former WWE star said.
During the same show, Heidenreich also reflected on the “disturbing” segment that he was part of in WWE, and why he doesn’t have regrets about agreeing to it.
