Eric Andre may have endured one of the most painful-looking celebrity beatdowns on WWE RAW this year, but according to John Cena, the comedian couldn’t have been happier about the experience.
The incident unfolded on the June 15 episode of WWE RAW, where Andre appeared at ringside as part of the promotional push for Little Brother, his upcoming Netflix comedy alongside Cena.
While the segment quickly turned chaotic, Andre’s reaction afterward tells a very different story.
John Cena shares Eric Andre’s thoughts on WWE RAW appearance
Speaking to Adam’s Apple, Cena reflected on Andre’s first WWE appearance and revealed just how much his co-star enjoyed stepping into the wrestling world.
“My castmate and little brother, Eric Andre, just got his first WWE appearance a few nights ago. He’s like, ‘Man, it was the best thing of my life,'” Cena said.
Cena made the comments while discussing his acting career and the passion that comes with performing in front of a live audience. He noted that the energy of WWE is unique and suggested that Andre quickly embraced that atmosphere.
On RAW, Andre found himself caught in the middle of Bloodline business. Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Jacob Fatu opened the show before tensions briefly surfaced within the group. After Reigns officially welcomed Fatu into The Bloodline with an Ula Fala, the faction crossed paths with Andre at ringside.
The interaction took a sharp turn when Andre touched Fatu’s Ula Fala. Fatu responded by dragging the comedian into the ring, where he delivered a brutal assault at Reigns’ discretion. The segment ended with Andre taking two crushing splashes from “The Samoan Werewolf.”
While the attack looked devastating on television, Andre apparently viewed it as a career highlight rather than a painful memory. In wrestling terms, he may have taken a beating, but he certainly didn’t take an L.
The appearance also helped spotlight Little Brother, which premieres on Netflix on June 26, while further establishing Fatu as one of WWE’s most dangerous forces heading into the summer.
