John Cena came to Eric Andre’s rescue after he suffered a wardrobe malfunction.
Netflix hosted the world premiere of Little Brother, starring WWE legend John Cena and comedian Eric Andre, on Thursday night at the iconic Paris Theater in New York. Following the red carpet at The Plaza, Andre made an entrance in the classic green Porsche featured in the film.
However, he suffered an intentional wardrobe malfunction as he stepped out of the vehicle. Andre ripped his outfit to shreds after it got stuck in the car door.
Left in his underwear, Eric Andre got a T-shirt from someone nearby. However, he took it off after it turned out to be a Roman Reigns T-shirt. Andre was seemingly still bitter that the Tribal Chief had allowed Jacob Fatu to attack him on this week’s WWE RAW.
His co-star John Cena then came to his aid, holding up his blazer like a shield to block the flashing cameras. However, Eric Andre embraced the moment anyway and ultimately posed for photos next to Cena in just his underwear. Standing next to the WWE legend likely gave him some extra courage, considering Cena himself has plenty of experience appearing a bit exposed after his infamous, near-naked bit at the 2024 Oscars.
Who else joined John Cena and Eric Andre at the premiere?
The star-studded event featured cast members Cena, André, as well as co-stars Christopher Meloni, Ego Nwodim, Sherry Cola, Caleb Hearon, Ben Ahlers, Bryce Gheisar, and Pilot Bunch. They were joined by writer-director Matt Spicer, producers David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer, and co-producer Kate Griffith.
Notable guests also included Dylan O’Brien, Sarah Sherman, Michelle Buteau, Sarah Ramos, and Eleonora Srugo. Little Brother premieres on Netflix on June 26; check out more photos from the premiere below:
