Fans are trolling Tiffany Stratton after she failed to recognize some WWE legends.
Reigning WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton recently ripped open a variety of old Topps wrestling card packs that ranged from $5 to $800. She also answered a series of questions in the process, such as the last time she opened a pack of cards, the first time someone asked for her autograph, what message she would give her younger self, and a few more.
The $5 pack from 2016 she opened contained cards featuring WWE legends Junkyard Dog, Sgt Slaughter, Viscera, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, and Asuka. Stratton only recognized Steamboat and Asuka from the pack and didn’t know who the first three were, and even pronounced Slaughter’s name as “S-G-T Slaughter.”
Tiffany Stratton had no problem recognizing the stars from the other card packs. She even correctly answered The Rock as the WWE star having the most expensive card in history, but didn’t get the number right. She said $26,000, but her answer was only $100,000 short.
Why fans reacted to Tiffany Stratton’s WWE legends quiz
Tiffany Stratton’s failure to recognize some legends and mispronouncing Sgt. Slaughter’s name didn’t go well with some fans. They mocked her on social media for not knowing wrestling history, despite having been with WWE for nearly five years.
However, some fans came to her defense, saying she didn’t grow up a fan of the sport and only entered the industry in 2021, crossing over from gymnastics.
“Everyone working there should learn about the history of the product,” one fan wrote.
“I generally don’t care if wrestlers haven’t heard of older wrestlers, but this isn’t great. They should have like history lessons at the PC,” another fan replied.
“She did say that she didn’t grow up watching wrestling so this makes sense & she’s also in like her mid 20’s so give her a break,” a fan said in Stratton’s defense.
Tiffany Stratton is gearing up to defend the Women’s United States Championship against Jade Cargill at WWE Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this Saturday.
