AEW and DC Studios have teamed up for a unique crossover ahead of the release of Supergirl, bringing several familiar wrestling faces into the spotlight alongside the film’s lead star, Milly Alcock.
The collaboration stretches beyond a single promotional appearance, blending television, social media, and red-carpet events.
It also gave fans a chance to see a different side of some AEW stars before the movie officially flies into theaters.
AEW and DC Studios bring Wrestling and Superhero Worlds together
As part of a partnership between Warner Bros. and AEW, former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland and Harley Cameron filmed exclusive promotional videos with Alcock, who portrays Kara Zor-El in Supergirl.
In one of the widely shared clips, Swerve introduced the actress to his signature chant, teaching her the famous “Who’s House? Swerve’s House!” catchphrase. It was certainly a case of one house meeting another.
The crossover didn’t stop there. During AEW Dynamite, Cameron wore custom ring gear inspired by Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow ahead of her TBS Championship qualifying match against Marina Shafir. AEW also promoted the campaign on X, encouraging fans to catch both Supergirl and Dynamite.
Earlier in the week, Cameron and Willow Nightingale represented AEW at the film’s world premiere on June 22 at The Plaza in Brooklyn, New York. Their appearance aligned naturally with Warner Bros. Discovery’s ownership of TBS and TNT, the television home of AEW programming.
Supergirl, starring Milly Alcock, David Corenswet, and Jason Momoa, arrives in theaters and IMAX on June 26. Speaking to PEOPLE at the premiere, Alcock recalled celebrating her casting by inviting friends over to “drink and dance” after buying “the cheapest champagne” she could find in Australia.
With wrestling and superheroes sharing the same stage, this crossover gives both brands a chance to tag in new audiences. Whether fans come for Swerve’s house or Supergirl’s world, the partnership delivers plenty of star power before the opening bell — and the opening credits.
