Former TNA star Joe Doering has passed away at the age of 44.
Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling first announced the heartbreaking news on X/Twitter. The Canadian promotion shared that Joe Doering passed away earlier today, surrounded by his family.
“At 9:13 a.m. today, June 26, our brother Joe Doering passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. Though his time on this earth lasted only 44 years, Joe packed a thousand years’ worth of living into every one of them. Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Lindsay, his family, and leaves behind countless friends and devoted fans around the world who will forever remember his strength, courage, and spirit. Rest in peace, Joe. You will never be forgotten,” the post read.
Joe Doering battled brain cancer three times
Joe Doering stepped away from wrestling in August 2022. He revealed that his brain cancer had returned and that he needed to undergo surgery. The former TNA World Tag Team Champion’s sister-in-law, Mandy Banh, announced back in December 2025 that he was battling a third brain tumor. He was first diagnosed with a tumor in 2016. She then provided an update earlier this month that the veteran was entering hospice care.
Doering entered the pro wrestling industry in 2004, competing across promotions like AJPW, NJPW, and TNA. He has left his friends, family, and fans with countless memories that will ensure his legacy endures forever.
We at WrestleZone extend our condolences to Joe Doering’s family, friends, and fans.
